Building Excellence in Support and Training

The aim of Building Excellence in Support and Training is to provide support and resources to ESO practitioners for pensions and welfare work to assist veterans, past and present members of the Australian Defence Forces and their dependants. Higher Bandwidth Incentive Scheme

Higher Bandwidth Incentive Scheme was a $157.8 million national initiative of the Australian Government providing registered Internet service providers with incentive payments to supply higher bandwidth services in regional, rural and remote areas at prices comparable to those available in metropolitan areas.

Active After-School Communities Program

The Active After-school Communities (AASC) program is a national initiative that provides primary school-aged children with access to free, structured physical activity programs in the after-school timeslot of 3.00pm to 5.30pm.

The program is designed to engage traditionally non-active children in structured physical activities and to build pathways with local community organisations, including sporting clubs.

Australian Government Envirofund

The Australian Government Envirofund (the Envirofund) is a funding program that helps local communities undertake important on-ground environmental activities. The Australian Government introduced the Envirofund in 2002 as the local action component of the Australian Government's $5.1 billion Natural Heritage Trust. It helps community groups and individuals undertake small projects aimed at conserving biodiversity and promoting sustainable natural resource use. The Australian Government has committed funding for the Envirofund to 2012-2013.

Community Water Grants

The Australian Government's Community Water Grants program helps local community organisations save, recycle or improve the health of their local water resources. Community Water Grants will provide a total of $200 million nationally over five years to help communities play a positive role in tackling Australia's water challenge. The grants encourage better water use and will improve water health through practical on-the-ground projects.
